The XRS3, a 270kV battery-powered pulsed X-ray generator by Golden Engineering, is tailored for security and light industrial applications. Introduced in 2001 for enhanced penetration compared to XR150 or XR200, the XRS3 effectively penetrates up to one inch of steel when used with the Vidisco digital imaging system.

This versatile unit offers exceptional penetrating ability in a compact design, weighing less than 5.8Kgs. Its features include a battery pack, robust glass tube, high voltage head, and electronic controls, all in a single package. The XRS3 is powered by the same commercially available DeWalt® battery packs used for cordless tools, ensuring convenience for operators who can acquire spare packs easily.

Sharing electronic controls and battery with the XR200 enhances the versatility of both models. Proven to withstand extreme environments, including Arctic and desert conditions, the XRS3 is fully compatible with various digital imaging systems, making it a powerful and highly portable X-ray solution.
